HHR Newbie
Good Morning HHR World..This is my first post but definitely won;t be the last. We just took delivery of our 2008 HHR LS model and WE LOVE IT!!!. We went vehicle shopping this past Saturday..the wife was looking for a pre-owned SUV (Tahoe in particular) but when she saw the HHR's she fell in love with them!!! We walked out of the dealership with a great NEW vehicle and alot of money left in our pockets!!!! I was amazed at how much vehicle we got for the money. The model we puchased has virtually all the options we wanted, cept for power seats...but what the heck.
I'm glad to be part of the HHR family.
I have just one question at the moment. Where is the oil filter located. I like to do my own oil changes...we got ripped off a while back at one of these Quickie Lube places. We asked for syntheric oil and found out they put in regular old 5W30 into my Ranger pickup.
Thanks for your help in advance, and hope to post here often.

Thanks RedRider. Any suggestions for a newbie HHR owner. Actually it's the wife's vehicle but I'm sure with some sweet talk, she'll let me me make some mods...
She loved the vehicle just as it was on the dealer lot. It's an LS model so not alot of extras on the exterior, but still a cool ride. Can you give us some suggestions for the exterior.
Thanks

Yankeedawg There are several mods you can do. Lake pipes look very good you can get them from Mike at the HHR store, I put fender skirts on mine . You can put chevrolet script on the hood but i put the three oval ports on mine. I have also put a lower grill cut to match the top grill . You can change out your door lock knobs to shorter smoothie ones from Mike at the HHR store. Race and Street has a lot of chrome goodies . Just click on the suporting vendor index at the top of the forum page. I am going to take my car to Joey Hutson in louisianna to have some graphics and air brush work done. Will post pics when i get it done. Hope this helps you out Bill Redrider
Hey RedRider...many thanks for your suggestions. I didn't realize there was so much you could do with the HHR. I'll speak to my boss (aka wife) and pass along your ideas.
She LOVES her HRR...it's an awesome vehicle for its size and price.
I'm already seriously thinking about getting me the panel model and trading in my ranger.
Thanks again - Gerry
