I'm glad Chris is alright.

I asked if I could have the remains of the deer than jumped in front of my Jeep Cherokee many years ago. The Ranger got pissed at me. He said they take 'kills' and donate the meat to local public services.

I sustained car damage, paid a deductable and all and couldent keep the meat. My tax dollars to the shelters and my dollars to have my car fixed. It just dident add up right to me!

Glad this dident happen....

Glad to hear that Chris wasn't hurt and the car not too seriously.

I was in the insurance business for 15 years and this is covered under your comprehensive coverage. In Colorado, comprehensive covers: fire, theft, vandalism, malicious mischief, glass breakage, falling objects, colliding with birds and animals and flood. The perils covered from state to state may vary and be subject to additional provisions.

Glad to see the car wasn't hurt too bad.

Sorry to hear about the Non HHR getting hit.. The only way to claim my trophy is 4 deer hits with a HHR, I am at 3 right now. Mine were getting spend until I lowered my comp to $100.00, My S-10 is at $0.00 I wish deer 4 would hit it, so I can get it fixed this time, it bears battle scars..

My best tip for anyone is slam the brakes and DO-NOT head for the ditch, It could be worse hitting trees, culverts or flipping your car. Thats my safety tip.

Thanks for your concerns everyone. Gut reaction was to swerve away and swerved too far. Agreed not the best idea in most circumstances but I think it did help in this situation. Now you think Dayton is going to let me drive the HHR to work when the ZX3 is getting fixed?
