Holiday Plans?

So what's everyone doing for the Holidays? Christmas will be spent at home with the family. New Years is going to be spent in Fort Wayne, In. with friends again. Rented a penthouse from the 31st to the 2nd and plan on having a few Yagerbombs . Probably going to hit Piere's for a bit before the ball drops or catch a Komet Hockey Game. New Years Day we go watch all the crazy people jump in the river

Happy Holidays!!!

Wife is working Christmas eve, but everyone will be home for Christmas day! New Years is a bit different. I am working a regularly scheduled weekend, plus I am on a swap with a co-worker for Christmas, so I will be working New Years eve (no big deal) and New Years day (again, no big deal).

Amy and I will be spending Christmas Eve at her mom's and doing the gift thing. On the 25, Amy is throwing a "aniversary/bday" party for my 1 year to the day mark for my "new" kidney.

Then we will be spending the 27 - 31 at Disney, getting a rain check on last years trip that was cancelled due to xplant. While there we have special seating to watch Marlee Matlin narrate the Candlelight Procession on the 29th (MY BIRTHDAY !!! ). Driving home the afternoon of the 31st and will be spending a quite night in.

It's going to be a very busy holiday for us. i have to work Christmas Eve day, then off to the in-laws for Christmas that night. We will head home about midnight, make sure the kids are asleep and do the Santa thing. Christmas morning we see what Santa brought the kids, then off to my parents for Christmas. After that, I'm off work until January 2nd, and I'm not doing anything, except play with all my kids new toys

I'm off until 1.2.08.
I do all the cooking (turkey, ham, all the fixin's, maybe tamales-haven't decided yet, etc.) and host Christmas at my house for about 8-10 people. My nephew works at Disneyland and will go in that afternoon--so a late lunch/early dinner. Weather is promising to be another mild day and we can sit outside and enjoy the food and company.

I'm not a new year's person and usually go to sleep early. Can't see the point of getting inebriated but that's just me...besides, my Golden Bears are playing a bowl game on new year's eve (Air Force) and hopefully we can redeem a sad year (we lost the AXE! )

Normally don't here either. I can count on one hand how many times a year I drink. But for New Years Eve I make an exception

I see new years as a day celebrating getting another year older! But I do partake of at least one bottle of (red) wine a week...another reason to love living in CA

It is raining here in the OC and going to be a bracing 59F today--Blackie will be filthy by Friday!

Xmas is a BIG thing in our family. I'm one of 6 and my dad is one of 19 and as of last count 241 1st cousins. We have to rent a hall for the all day feast. My grandparent are gone, but the rest of the family still likes to get together this time of year to keep the family bonds strong. It's the one time of the year to see folks from out west and southern states and caught up on each others lifes.
It's what Xmas is all about...!!! FAMILY.Have fun with your's
