How to find your old car?
How to find your old car?
This was the 1st car in my name when I was 20 years old.
i just found this old registration card when cleaning up some junk.
1970 Hemi Cuda , shaker hood, Hemi orange with a black interior, 3 speed automatic on the 'tree' with a bench bucket seat.
Also it had the Super Trac Pack option , a Dana 60 rear end with 4.10 gears.
I paid $1,995 for it in 1974, now it's probably worth $200k - $500k, should've kept it. LOL
Now how would I find out where it might be now, almost 50 years later?

Scroll down to the last post. Looks like this was in 2016? But it's a starting point.

Well that was a 'dead' site, no one has posted to that Mopar site this year.
Yes it was recycled many times & I lost track many many years ago.
I tried some of the 'VIN' sites with no luck.
i'm going to make this a 'bucket-list' item now that I'm older than dirt...LOL
i maybe going to the Mecum auction in Florida next month, maybe someone there might be of help?

Maybe contact the Penn. MVD. Explain you are trying to locate it and why. They will say NO, get back with you, it's showing the last owner as, and date, title was moved out of state, if it was junked. Try to find an MVD person who is a car "nut". Good Luck.
I heard that in the USA there are paid services that publish the entire history of a car if you specify the VIN in the request...
carfax, I think, or something like that. I ordered my car in the USA and before purchasing, the intermediary sent me the entire history from leaving the assembly line to the date of the request.
The cops also have information, if you know a cop, he can help in a friendly way, then you invite him over for a bottle of whiskey as a thank you.
