How many of you have seen and are avid watchers of the show Dexter? He is on showtime and the 3rd season will be back on in September.

I'm an avid fan of Dexter. It gets dvr'd in hd every season. I can't wait for the third season 2 start either. I get a kick out of vigilantism because sometimes that's what's justified when scumbags slip through the cracks. He reminds me a lot of Batman because of the whole dark inner character, traumatic childhood events, detective work & working somewhat along the law. It's just that Batman doesn't kill he just beats the crap out of them...

Please define "slip through the cracks".

Can't be caught by the authorities or even worse... They get caught but somehow they get out on some weak technicality. I just love how sometimes murderers get less time than drug dealers busted for marijuana.

The only "murderers" I've seen get less time than a drug dealer are the ones who kill with a DWI. By the time the drug dealer gets to that point, they've already been busted selling about 20 or so times and have a felony rap sheet that is longer than the Merriam-Webster dictionary.

So, using your logic, if you take some medication that you don't realize could impair your driving, then you go out and kill someone on the road and wind up with probation or a sentence of a few years, it's okay for me to come over and blow your head off? Those "technicalities" you refer to protect everyone from lazy investigations and weak evidence that doesn't prove anything.

I do not watch this show because it's disgusting, garbage TV. It glorifies a serial killer--the worst possible subject you want to glorify, and people are actually making money on it.

Question

Ehhh... You're looking to deep into it buddy. It's a fantasy world where a man takes the law into his own hands... He lives by a code, kills people who deserve it under his code and quite frankly I think everyone of them deserved what they had coming... Carma is a *****! It's funny you mention the dwi, because in one episode this one guy killed a few people in different states with the whole dwi thing. Changed his name up and slipped through the cracks. Guess what happened?

I guess you think Batman is a megalomaniac/outlaw who is garbage as well? Maybe he should be captured because he let an eco-terrorist die instead of rescuing him? Or maybe they should bring him in on murder charges for pushing a man off the ledge while saving a child who was being held at gunpoint by that very same man who got pushed of the ledge?

Double Jeopardy? Commit murder, found not guilty then later admits to it? Oh but he can get purgery charges. Where's Dexter when you need him?

None the less this topic was about who watches dexter and are avid fans of it... Since you admited to not watching and that it's garbage then why are you even try to flame up this thread???

If I could figure out when shows are on the major networks, I'd try to watch it more often. Cable has so many channels, I rarely watch the major networks, but wait until the shows go on TNT or some other rerun channel.

Dexter is an interesting/disturbing show.

Season One is on cd at the rental stores and season 2 should be out this month if it is not already

There are 12 episodes for each season. You cannot stop watching the episodes. You get hooked!!

So if you are interested go rent it. Only if you like that kind of show. I love the show!

It is the same concept as "Death Wish" with Charles Bronson, but Dexter goes to a little more extremes.
