Hey All,

This is what I could find on a "Kit". The guy who made it based the model on the Road Ripper, and combined it with a PT Cruiser kit from Revell.

He did a fantastic job, even though the kit isn't finished.

I love the added roof ribs and rails.

He hasn't been able to get anyone to make them yet. He only has the prototype.

Yep, that's me...

Here's my thread:

https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/general-hhr-4/1-25-scale-resin-hhr-kit-19219/

Been busy with other projects, haven't done enough with the lil' HHR to warrant any progress pics. Also having troubles getting my other resin kit (a JEEP) produced, lots of $$$ put out by me, not a cent back yet for all of the time and effort put into it! Kinda takes the wind out of your sails, ya know?

Keep in mind, the musical Road Ripper is very large scale, this one I'm working on is the uber-rare 1/26 scale tether remote control toy that must have been made in really small numbers.

That's the way the little HHR is molded...if you look carefully, the toy has 5 roof ribs, our real HHRs have four! That's why in the third pic you'll see I removed the ribs & rails and will correct the master before casting.

Jeff's

I'm sure there are ton of us that would gladly spend some scratch to get one of your kits. If I can spend $200.00 on an "Enterprise" Kit. I have no problem spending that kind of money for a small batch "Kit".

Who wants a small batch HHR Model?

1.
2.

I don't think that selling them would be the problem, it's finding a RELIABLE resin caster to reproduce the master!

Just look at my kit thread to see the requests:

https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/showthread.php?t=19219

My current "caster" has had my Jeep master parts for well over a year now, & I've got 6 kits to show for my $600 outlay! Can't even sell them because of the lackluster quality of the body itself...I have to put several hours of labor into each just to make them nice enough to sell...
