I got the letter in the mail and the same letter in an email.

I'm still not really sure the purpose of the letter. Please don't buy Toyota?

its a little brown nose tactic, and wishfull thinking that their customers dont sell out on them.... i mild back rub if you will.... as a means to try and keep loyal customers to GM

I got my letter via e-mail and it had a link for an additional (on top of other offers) $1500 off the HHR. So lets see...$2500 rebate, $1500 from the e-mail and $1000 military discount...sounds like a great time to upgrade my 06 2LT to an SS. Oh wait...I'm deployed overseas and won't get back to the states until September.

No, the old stock isn't worth the paper it's printed on. They will be relisted differently so the old 'GM' stock are now worth nothing.

I'm getting letters from GM, local dealers and my GM Master Card trying to intice me to buy a new GM product. I know that the local dealers don't have what I want in their inventory, and are unwilling to deal on ordered cars. The dealers have done such a poor job with customer relations, that I don't trust them or what they say.

I really don't see much in their line that impresses me as I like my '06 HHR but the new ones are $5000 more that what I am willing to pay and have more crap on them than what I want.

I've bought 4 GM vehicles (1 used) over the past year and those will probably be my last GM's, I'm becoming a Ford person as I see the actions of GM and the Gov't working together.
