I'm new too. I picked up my new 2008 HHR on March 6th. Funny when I started looking for a vehicle about a month ago, I didn't even know it existed. At first I was gonna buy a good used vehicle for a few thousand. But then I started thinking was that really a good idea or was I buying someone else's headaches. So I started thinking about a small economy type vehicle for a bit more. I was originally looking at a Cobalt.
But well my main reason for getting a vehicle is I was tired of bumming rides from friends when I needed to get to a race. I also wanted to look at doing a triathlon this year which would mean transporting my bike. With a Cobalt I'd have to add a bike rack on the back or roof. I wasn't crazy about that idea. Anyhow I set up an appointment with the local dealership to check out the Cobalt. The day of the appointment I decided to surf the Chevy site for options, etc and spotted the HHR. Cool. I liked the look of it and my bike would fit in the back.
I headed to my dealership and when I walked in the showroom this gorgeous Silvertone HHR was sitting there. I knew right away that was the one I wanted. We test drove a reddish one that was on the lot and I loved how it handled but my heart was set on the Silvertone one. We filled out the loan app and then I had to break it to my husband. He had his heart set on a new 4x4 truck.
At first he wasn't crazy about it. He had the salesman pull the one out of the showroom and took it for a spin. Hmmm he liked the pep it had and well okay it wasn't his truck but I think he will grow to love it as much as I do.
I drove it home just over a week ago and it's been great. I put a 160km on it last Saturday driving to a trail race. All my running buddies thought it was cool but are wondering where the "pink" is.
I'm a big fan of the color Pink, hence the nickname. I'm thinking about some pink flames on the front or down the side but can't decide what I want to do yet.

Welcome Pink Chick I have not been on this site long but have already learned a bunch! I can't wait to see what you do to your HHR! I bet you could find some seat covers in Pink that would work for the front and back and would protect your seats at the same time!
There are some racing stripe Options I have seen on Ebay I wonder if you could get them in pink? You know they add HP too! LOL

Dawn! Some pink accents on the silverstone would look COOL!
