Its been 3 months

Its been three months almost since the last time I logged on so I just wanted to check in and let you guys know that I'm still here lol. Life has just gotten pretty busy and I haven't been able to get on as much as I have in the past.

In fact I spent all of August down in Louisiana for some training. Then I just got back from leave last weekend where I went to Illinois, Wisconsin, and Minnesota to visit family. I was really happy with the way the 3 performed on this road trip too. I got 42.4 mpg almost the whole way up there, which to me is pretty sweet. Now I'm getting ready for some certifications for my MOS coming up in November and then of course the holidays. So it just never really slows down anytime soon lol.

I also added a new car to the mix last weekend. I went in to get some scheduled service done on my 3 after coming back from leave and ended up test driving and then getting a really good deal on a 2014 Mazda MX-5 Miata Grand Touring PRHT. They wanted $33k for it, but I ended up getting it for $28k and this car is fully loaded with the Premium package as well as the Appearance package. The only downside is I wanted it to be a manual, but it does have the paddle shifters which are almost just as fun lol.

Now I know what some of you guys are probably thinking because I honestly never thought I would own a Miata either, but after driving one it's hard to deny the fact that these cars are extremely fun to drive and always end up leaving a smile on your face. Plus there is also the LS1 swap and a ton of aftermarket parts I could look into for the future of owning this car. Not to mention the 25 years of history this car has. So I personally feel that while I wasn't intending on trading my old Mazda 3 in, it was totally worth it that I did.

Now onto some pics.

I like tbe frame & suspension set up on those, opens up to plenty of opportunity for mods.
