Pulled in to work and another employee said... "Nice PT Cruiser you have" I didn't knock him out but I did have to explain the differences between a PT and my HHR.. Yes I was insulted...

I pulled up to the tire store , bow tie in full view of the sales counter. Guy says "What can we do for your PT".
Another shop I delivered to daily the mechanic asked " how do you like your PT", I said "when was the last time you saw a Chrysler with a bow tie"? After that he called me "PT with a bow tie".

I shaved the badges off , installed a painted rear bow tie , let them guess, I don’t explain the HHR , I just enjoy driving it.

I got plenty of "cute" comments driving my Smart car. right up until I passed them at the gas station. The bad part was when they tried to take a picture with their phone on the interstate doing 70+ mph and just about ran me off the road. Happened more than a few times.

I drive what I want.

I had 3 of them, all gone now. first one lasted 7 months and caught on fire. Smart gave me a new one no charge. Second one lasted 235,000 miles and dropped a cylinder. last one was a 2008 and it went 260,000 miles and had massive computer failures, cost more to fix it than it was worth. They all averaged around 42-47 mpg over their lives. They did not like ethanol gas, it would drop MPG quite a bit. they also preferred to be driven around 65 mph. I am 6'4 and lets say maximum density, had no problem driving them anywhere including a few trips around the country. Surprising how much room was inside them.

I still like my HHR more. something about having a back seat and a longer wheelbase...

my shaved too..
others believe that this is a Dodge. I don’t know why, people who don’t know each other constantly tell me: “Your Dodge is cool.”
Those who are closer to the automotive environment sometimes say: "What is this? Chevrolet? I thought it was Stirlitz in a body kit."
"Stirlitz" - this is sometimes called PT in our area, the cine scout Stirlitz from the popular film moved in a Mercedes, reminiscent of PT.
It amuses me, I am not offended if my Hippo is mistaken for a PT. PT in Russia is not much, but still much more than HHR.
