It's Official! It's a Panel Van!
i was hoping it would be a full panel design. it's a let down for me. seems like a half hearted attemped to make a panel. what gm would save in glass and trim would pay for the tooling. i'm still looking for operational liftgate glass!
You know, we have been working on a panel idea for a while (our concept for SEMA '07), and one of the things that keeps coming up is access to the back. I think GM addressed this perfectly by keeping the functional side doors, as we will be ripping that "storage bin" deal right out to make room for hidden subs. Once the subs are in place, a lowered flooring will be installed allowing us a sort of dropped "shelf" behind the seats where smaller boxes can be stacked without worrry of them sliding all around the back. Without side doors you would have to climb into the back to fish through any items towards the front.
I like the "door" idea!
