The Ballpark in Arlington....high noon, so sun was killing all the good angles..







then went down to the Joint Airforce Base (JAB) at Lockheed...









smog and o-zone were so bad that once they cleared it the sky was as blue as can be....

 

and you just about never see this....just too bad it happened at the opposite end of the runway..... dont know if it was a malfunction or if they were just testing the shoot....

if you look in the first picture taken at the air force base, just off the starboard wing, you can see what looks like a bird! Good thing that plane didnt inhale that bird, or you might have ended up with a different shot!

thanks...its a Nikon D80. Wide angle lens is a Tamron 10-24, lens I was using at the AFB was a Nikon 70-300 VR

nice shots. looks like you are on your way to a great photog. canon myself. but the newspaper i work at uses nikon and there are some pretty good lenses. get better then upgrade ur equip and you will b very happy.
