Chicklets

Didn't know that they were called that; although I read where some HHRs are "dechickleted". I don't see where they are a big deal. GM was bailed out with my -and your-money. But that's politics-let's talk HHR!!

Not a Big Deal, just a personal choice...I drive Chevy cause that's what I like.

& I keep my GM chicklets on my tool-box, which is another personal choice.

Meanwhile back to HHRs'

While we on the subject of badges. You know if you do not like the black fill in them and want them to be all chrome it is a very easy process. I did this to my F150 XLT badges. Take and mask off the area around the badge. Then use acetone with some q-tips and apply it to the black. It will remove it and leave you with a nice all chrome badge. Be sure not to get any on your paint because it will remove it as well.

I will be removing those little ones off our HHR. I noticed them the other day and thought hmm HHR logo would look better there.

Does the 19212670 kit have any downsides, i.e. more likely to throw codes, round town driveability?

just took mine off last week replaced them with beach street revival pins. sanded off the pin part and installed. looks neato jet.... my h car looks kinda like a surfer dudes ride so the beach street logo fits right in.... beach street revival was a car show held in santa cruz. some 15 years ago it was stated by a few of the old beach street guys of the 60s

i do not mind the chicklets one bit. i miss seeing them on the big heavy metal seat belts and other places they were on older cars. but, i miss seeing the fisher body coach on the door sills too. everything is changing. it all seems so disposable now.

I don't see why GM is catering to those ignorant enough to not know where there car is coming from. I can hear it now "Maybe if we take the badge off they won't know its a GM product." I say leave them on, some where there is one of my little cousins in Mexico getting paid a couple of bucks an hour to put them on. Then again I have had Aston Martin, Jaguar, and Land Rover owners tell me they didn't know Ford owned them at one time or another. Unfortunately, I think it was more of a marketing department decision than anything else. I am a supporter of GM and all its holdings I even went as far as picking DirecTV over Dish Network because GM use to own them.
