I had a 1970 Firebird...Not a huge engine, a 350 2 barrel but it had no trouble getting out of it's own way....and talk about an easy engine to work on!

I agree, talk about having a lot of room to work and not all that electronics and polution control crap! Here is the picture I took of the 400 4-bbl. I dropped in that Firebird. That was the first motor I built myself. It hadn't even been fired up yet when I took that picture, as you can see I don't have all the accesories, belts and pulleys on yet. Man, that was a strong motor. It really had some torque!
