I do hate the weight of the Terrain at 4,000 pounds but the next one is about a year out and it will lose weight.
I laugh anymore when I walk out into a parking lot and there are more small SUV than any other vehicle anymore.
Three of Chevys best sellers not a pick up were the HHR, Nox and Cruze. These vehicles sinc 2008 have help keep Chev viable along with the full size truck.

It's what GM fans have been waiting for, and should expect.

I do not work for GM but have a good idea on what they are doing and where they are going unlike back in the Aztek days.
Today they are just now moving to new platforms they could not afford in the past. The Alpha is an example of what they can do as they have a RWD sedan that is 3400 pounds.
We will see more of this and weight loss is a major issue they plan to deal with by use of more Boron Steel, Aluminum and composits.
We are just on the edge of cheaper Carbon Fibers as they now are working on a molded version that cuts the labor cost and lowers the price. We should be seeing a roll out of this soon.
Well I would not say print money as that is never a good thing. Make profit is what they will do.
We also will be seeing more new engines as while the then new LT V8 is grabbing attention GM has many others coming too like the new 1.6 Turbo and even a small diesel for the Cruze.

older thread, but i was at the dealership and came accross the Regal brochure and noticed the 10L for city..wow thats a lot, considering that number is in 'perfect' conditions but in real life your looking to add about 1.5 to that number and to me that is fairly high for a 2.4L engine
