Thanks, yes it was a little over $880,000. It should be ready October 17th, 2006, but that WILL get pushed back

Hey I know what you mean. When I lived in Washington all you could get was multi levels. That's usually the case where land space is at a premium. They have to stack floors to maximize land space, that's just life. But even at that your house is HUGE and beautiful too boot. When we came back to Florida 4 years ago there were only three things I wanted. Acreage (no sub division or property NAZI's), a single level (we're getting old and stairs are the devil), and a three car garage. Well we got a single level (only 1800 square foot), 1.64 Acres, a swimming pool (I hate it), and I had a 3 car shop built, we got it for $148,000.00.....now I'm happy....well sorta. We just had it appraised and now it will bring $300,000.00. But that's here in Florida, I would bet it would be an easy 1/2 mil or more on the west coast.

That's not bad if it's on a nice sized lot. Most of the new homes in my neck of the woods range from $750,000-$1,100,000... absolutely stunning homes, but many of them on quarter-acre to half-acre lots. Essentially NO back yard, or front for the matter, in the case of this $900,000 house:
