New Car in the Household
Last week my girlfriends old car was having some starter issues and she decided it was time for a new car. Over the weekend we hit almost all the major car dealerships in search of a small car for her.
I had two front runners in mind and she decided to go with my second choice.
Hopefully at some point on Monday or Tuesday she'll be bringing home a 2008 VW City Golf. It's fully optioned and she picked a yellow one because they are not very common and she wanted to stand out.
It's a pretty slick little ride for a very affordable price. For you American folks the City Golf is the previous generation Golf which is still being produced and sold in Canada with minor additions and changes. The Golf was replaced by the Rabbit but VW decided to keep making and selling the Golf in Canada as a lower price point vehicle.

She wouldn't go for an HHR. She didn't want something quite so big and it's not as fuel efficient as the other cars we looked at. She also knows about some of the problems that I've been experiencing and complaining about. The VW will be a great car especially with the 4 year bumper to bumper warranty and the extremely high resale value up here in Canada.
