Blames cost of oil:GM announces price hike on all 2011 models, blames cost of oil and metal

 

All cars for that matter. Even "cheap" mfg's like Kia/Hyundai are getting pricey. Used cars for this guy!

 

Actually, there was a spot on the news yesterday about the cost of used cars going up by almost $2000 over just a couple of months ago.

 

ya, but better than 5k+ on a new one. I'm gonna be stuck in this one forever. Good thing I like it:)

 

Back in January 2009 my wife totaled her 2008 Equinox LT1. It was only 13 months old at the time of tha accident. We wanted to replace it with a 2009 the was equipped the same. But to our surprise the base price had went up $2000 in only one year. Which put it out of my price range at the time and I needed a damn vehicle. Would have liked GM to explain the reasoning behind the increase to me. We finally found an Equinox that we could afford, but it is an LX. Sometimes I think the auto industry is a big joke.
