New Head-Up Display - Yay or No Way?

GM is developing a new Head-Up display that turns your entire windshield into a display drawing lines and circling signs. I find it interesting but can't help to think that this is just one more unneeded gadget? So what do you say? Yeah or No Way?

I think it'd be cool. Doesn't happen very often when I can't see in the fog, but it's happened before where I literally couldn't see the road in front of me...it would have been handy then!
