New Hot Rod

I got my new Hot Rod mag today and there is a shot of the So-Cal Speedshop HHR from Bonneville Speed Week 2005 on page 102. It set a 189.205 mph record in the G/BGL class. I might not like four cylinder cars that much but thats definitely respectable for a 2 liter car! Hot Rod also featured a shot of it and some info in the November 2005 issue on page 35.

HHR the New Age Hot Rod. I guarantee for years to come we will be seeing so many of them modified.

SoCal, do you live anywhere by So-Cal Speedshop? I know southern California is a pretty general term like upstate New York. I was just wondering if it looked as bad a** in person. Chopped, channeled, and stretched in the classic So-Cal paint job.

Hi CH, I'm about 30-minutes from them but haven't been out to see their HHR yet (I'm really not sure if it's even kept there?). I will call them this week and find out - if it's there, I might take a cruise on over and shoot some pics of my "stocker" and the Bonnie car side-by-side. Might make a cool mini-article!

I'll keep you posted.

That the best custom HHR so far. They even left the running boards! You can't get cooler than that.
