New panorama. Any photographers out there?

A stitch in time, ok 45 stitches in time
Near where I used to live. I just shot a wedding there and needed to get out for some air
Cohasset harbor and Minot Light, south of Boston Massachusetts.
Small pic embedded. Click on the link below for the larger size on pbase it has detail and is fun to scroll through.
I'd like more activity in the lower left but with more boats floating imagine the motion differences in all those images! Yikes! A stitcher's nightmare!
The sun was setting and the colors were getting pushed .

Cannon 5D camera
I started with 45 RAW files shot with the 70-200 L IS on a tripod f10. Three exposures for each shot -2 0 +2 with mirror lock on and cable release. Still had to clone some areas back in as some motion within the 45 pictures had occurred. Used Panorama Factory for the basic setup before tweaking in CS2. 16 bit tiffs final image 240 megabytes.
It took a few hours as one could imagine. A fun learning curve.
I just printed it out at 17 x 100 inches and it still seems small
Now carrying around a print that size is quite a task, I gotta tellya!
Here is a picture of a bride with a "small" print I graced her with:

The print in her hands is a pano from in the limo and is only around five feet long.

Thanks, I want all water to look like it resides in your state or the Caribbean!
Get out there man, the possibilities are endless! Play with that camera
I love the fact we no longer have to play in the darkroom with the orange and red lights and little human interaction. And one time, at Band Camp, oh it was actually in the High School darkroom and the Homecoming queen was there.....ah, the good ole' days.........
Granted, for those of us who did that, there is a little nostalgia and a bit of old school romance to it, but really things are better now. These days we can sit at our PC and create new worlds while actually interacting with our families and breathing fresh air
Photoshop is our friend!

Great shot...I have the pan and stich software included with my Canon S2 IS but have not been brave enough to try it yet.I should remedy that shortly.I am still getting used to the camera, and all that stuff is a little complicated for a simple mind.
Nice work. The evening shot in your gallery is really nice as well.
I remember trying to do that kind of thing when I had my old Minolta SLR.
Now all I have is a digital point & shoot digital...works great, but can't be as experimental as I was with the SLR.
