I would like to see someone NOT lining their pockets with money from the high oil prices and excuse after excuse to raise gas and oil prices!!

We need someone who can turn this country around to the RESPECTED USA it once was.

Someone who cares about the people of THIS country and not themselves.

Someone who follows through with their promises and not just lies to get elected.

Help our homeless and underprivilaged, before giving away money overseas.

Take care of our own country FIRST.

This is one of the most important factors in any selection, in my opinion. We're too worried about the condition of other countries instead of focusing more attention on our internal affairs. This has been one of my biggest problems with political policy. How can you help someone else if you yourself aren't in decent condition?

As far as the white/black, male/female "options," the only difference is the issues or topics that people tend to lean toward, but I still don't think that it will be problematic for a presidential candidate.

Whoever is best for the country and its people as a whole, in my eyes, will get my vote, disregarding race, gender, or religion.

Well if taking care of the homeless is your main objective then Rudy is the main man to look at.

Actually I believe Condoleezza Rice would make a wonderful candidate, and she is both a woman and black.

I agree , well said !

Sorry but at this time we cannt have a female in the white house no matter who she is. Now dont start with calling me a pig or anything here is why I say this........

Where do we have the most problems? The middle east right ok what do they think of females? What little respect we have left will be lost in that part of the world. Once things get back to a "normal" state over there and calms down we need someone strong(not that a female cannt be) and will do as stated about get respect back for the USA
Maybe in the next elections a female but not this time.

OK let the bashing begain

Not going to bash you, but I will respectfully disagree. Honestly if they have a problem with a female leader, it's their problem, not ours. I think a woman, if she is a strong leader, would command respect by decent people all over the world. Those who do not respect her solely because she is a woman probably don't support or respect us anyway, regardless of who our President is. There have been strong women in leadership positions in the past, and there will be more in the future. Margaret Thatcher is one that comes to mind.
