I'm glad that racing was done where it should be, at the track and not in our city streets. The kid seems to have a happy go lucky persona and not too miffed about the damage.

wow someone really needs to come up with a good intake mani for the ecotec. I know there are some guys over on cobaltss.net who could be alot more powerful if it weren't for the limits of the intake.

I've seen this video before. The explosions happen from people using nitrous at too low of an RPM. It pools in the intake and explodes. It has nothing to do with the plastic intake manifolds. Our manifolds, even the 2.2 ones, have been able to handle up to 25-30psi on turbocharged applications.

The weakness isn't in the manifold. Its in the driver and his knowledge of nitrous and the safe way to use it.
