I like math too:

Three salesmen walk into a hotel and ask for a room.
The desk clerk says - that will be $30.
So they split the bill equally, and each hands over $10.
They then head to their room.

Later the desk clerk realises he made a mistake - that room was only $25.
So he calls the bellhop over and hands him 5 loonies and tells him to
return it to the 3 men with his apology.

On the way upstairs the bellhop looks at the 5 loonies and thinks
- well, how can 3 guys split the 5 loonies?
- so he pockets 2 of them and continues to the room.

He gives the salesmen the 3 loonies and apologies for the desk clerk.

So, they each paid what originally?
- $10
Which totals what?
- $30
They each got how much back as a refund?
- $1

So what did the room cost each one of them?
- $10 minus the $1 refund comes to $9!!

So the total for the three of them is 3 x $9 = $27!!!

$27 plus the 2 loonies the bellhop kept, totals??

$29!!!!!!

Where did the other dollar go?
