One Chevrolet Sold Every 7.4 Seconds

One Chevrolet Sold Every 7.4 Seconds

Chevrolet, one of the four core brands currently existing under GM's tutorship, posted significant increases in 2010, selling no more, no less than 4.26 million vehicles globally last year. More importantly, General Motors claims that statistics proved that a new Chevrolet was sold every 7.4 seconds, thus helping the brand account for about 5.8 percent of all vehicles sold around the world in 2010.

That is nice but how much profit on each? Numbers sold mean little if the profit is low.

I just hope GM can get the trans action price up on all models and run from fleet sales.

Profits probably in the $2Billion range. Then financing kickback to the dealers.

I have a tape of an old Jack Benny radio show from 1933, sponsered by Chevrolet....the tag line was "every 40 seconds, someone buys a Chevrolet!"

They did not have computers back then and the paperwork took longer.
