I'm not point fingers, I let this die a long time ago. Who keeps bringing it up?

Exactly.

The money was paid back. You can call it what every you like.

Thanks, I like the analogy, i guess I'm just tired of all the nonense and no one taking responsibility when they hide certain things. Believe me I want Chevy to get away from stock held by the US Govt, your own post from Jefferson is perfect!

Like liberal's a dirty word or something. As far as politions are concerned they are all in it together, but at least the Democrats want to vote on wall street reform, the Republicans are filibustering to stop it. Wall street gets whatever they want, we get the crumbs.

I didn't say liberal was a dirty word. I said.

Me a Liberal?

If you knew me, you would have know that. Political opinions are like, well we all know. Democrats have been running the show since before the last election. But it's amazing on some issues, who keeps bringing things up. Why is it, something that might be positive about the US automakers, yes GM in particular here, the same old crap keeps coming up? Get over it already, it's old news. Yet, a lot still stand behind Toyota. I just don't get it.

If anyone thinks this current administration is making things better, I'd love to hear one solid example. Please, make my day.

Even If the interest money is from another source? Lets say I obtained that money using something I owned as the collateral. I have paid back my obligation and I used other monies to pay the interest.

So GM obtained money in 2 ways. One was a loan and one they used stock in the company. Even if they paid the monies back with the monies obtained from the stock, it's still paid back, with interest.

Is this a PR action? Probably. Was it planned when the loan was originally done? Possibly. Did the US Government get their money back, plus interest, plus they still have the stock? Yes.
Exactly. Why people want to see the negative in everything is beyond me. Yes, it sucks that the GM allowed themselves to get to the point of having to file for bankruptcy. It sucks that the government (us) had to bail them out. But now there is a guy in charge who's not one of the GM "good 'ol boys", more importantly, who's history is making failing companies profitable again. It took a lot of years for GM to get to this point, its going to take them some time (perhaps several years) to get out of it. Why not allow some time to pass before declaring a scam and a failure?
