I ask the following of the members and lurkers: Are there any good Chevy Colorado forums, or does anyone currently own or previously own one? I am considering getting rid of my 2001 S-10 Crew and upgrading to a new Colorado. I have heard good and bad since they first came out, but I am looking for some valid opinions (you too CH). And no, I am NOT, repeat NOT getting rid of my HHR. That's mine. My wife drives the S-10.

You need to find the thread about Theresa's son's accident in a Colorado. While he had serious injuries, the truck offered a lot of protection in a head-on collision. I considered buy one but needed the better gas mileage that the HHR offered.

 

When my wife got into an accident and totaled her car we were going to buy a truck for her. We drove a NEW Colorado and then we drove a 2000 Toyota Tundra. I'm not going to bad mouth the Colorado, BUT we didn't buy it. We bought the Tundra. More get up and go, nicer insides, and a MUCH better ride. So good luck in what ever you buy.

I am looking into what to get after my HHR is paid. My 94 S-10 has been wiltering now I drive the HHR all the time. I am keeping the HHR but need to trade a old 4x4 for a newer 4x4..
