Our Italian Grehounds winter attire...

Our IGs got an early Christmas present. Some really nice belly warmers and coats from K9 Apparel. Nicely made, waterproof and keeps them warm for winter walks. They need to be walked alot since they are high energy dogs. I'm not a fan of clothes on dogs but these are kinda necessary since IGs are basicly skin & bones and get really cold easily. Try to house train an IG puppy in the winter and you'll know what a PITA it is to get them outside in the cold.

I love the "hoodies"!

Looks like they'll stay nice and warm all winter in those.

Your IGs are adorable. My IG (Coty) is 3 now and we understand the out door winter thing. He refuses to step foot outside even with his winter coat. However, it was very easy to train him to go to the bathroom in a kitty litter box.

Those jackets and hoodies are great!

I have a Whippet and he hates the wintertime. He has a nice coat (similar to the ones you have) but his little feet get too cold in the snow.

Here's a picture of him, in the Christmas spirit!

Nice...always nice to see a IG or whippet show up (rarely) in forums. Ours do the 3 legged run when it's really cold outside trying to keep their feet warm. Our black one (Sam) is 3 1/2 years old, the grey one (Gus) is just over a year old. Our boxer, the OG original dog, is almost 7. She's pretty thick so no coat needed for her. She is the best dog ever. Very calm natured, well trained, and great with kids and other dogs and has survived the rigors of raising two IG puppies. We've had a few issues with some tumors and surguries on her but she has prevailed.

Getting the IGs to go outside to go to the bathroom is sometimes a challenge in the cold especially with the puppy but the IGs have learned even if it means I have to stand out there with them for a few minutes, or 10-20 sometimes! Our older one Sam has it down but the puppy is still sometimes an issue in the cold.

I'll post some more pics of the dogs when I get time now that I know someone has some similar speices on here.

Look forward to seeing them

I really like your black-colored IG. Is that a common color for them? It's not too common in Whippets - the brindle variety seems to be the most popular.

Not sure about the whippets. He has lots of grey around his lips and face, looks old but he's not. Our local Petsmart has a full sized greyhounds for adoption one Sunday a month and we ran into a full size similar colored one last year. Obviously our IG was not very impressed with him. Very similar in appearance though, down to similar white markings on their feet and front/chest areas.
