Exclamation Paging all forum PC Gamers

I have a question. The new games that use DirectX10 (DX10). Will they run on Windows XP and if so do you still get the better DX10 visuals (graphics) or is it more like DX9 graphics? Along the same lines, will a DX9 based game originally made for XP run on Vista?

I just bought Hellgate:London. It is a Dx10 game and it plays as Dx9 on my XP system. Dx10 is not available on XP, only Vista. Vista and Dx10 should play legacy games Dx9 and earlier.

Not really missing much without dx10, a few shading effects from what I read. I am most impressed with the latest games using OpenGL instead of dx. Not worth the headache of Vista just for a few little visual effects in a game to me.
