Not sure what you paid but they have SHARP AQUOS 52-inch 1080p LCD HDTV - for $1250 shipped over at newegg right now. That's a decent deal.

thanks,
the tiger direct robot guy said something about the plasma being a liquid/gas or something , and that would all run to top if you liad it down , and that it might take 2 days for it to settle back to the bottom. i'm not an idiot , but it didn't make perfect sence to me. they have a lcd 50 for about $1295 , thats what i got in the other including the $250 warrantee. i may get it and tell them to keep thier $#$#**warantee. the good about online is no tax , but it's good to be able to take it back locally if there is a problem. also i don't mind paying tax , i feel like i have done my part. i just don't agree with at least half of what they do with the taxes. i about ready to join a militia and die trying to take back our country. they have a new place here , HHGREGG , i may also check there. they have some good deals.
i see very little differeence in any of them
including the dlp. i had thought very seriously about getting a dlp. i have sat and watched all of them in different stores. none of them will keep up with fast action like a football game , the dlp with led may be the best. i think the lcd will hold up the best in the long run . it's also lighter and i assume i can lay it down. i don't plan on moving it much , so the last 2 reasons really don't matter much. i really just want 1080p , and to spend some more $. as long as i have a job , and i always will if i want one , because i'm not scared to do real work. i will continue to ignor all this recession bs. if everyone would spend some $ it would have to save a few people from losing their job. scared people get on my nerves.
Amex?
i never heard of it. i'll do a search on it. thanks , it sounds good. even though i don't like the way they try to sell that warantee at tiger , it is still good , because you can just take it back to the store and they will either fix it , give you anouther 1 or a credit. i got a good deal on my laptop from them although the 1st one didn't work they gave me anouther 1. if you try that at most places you will have to send it back to the service center and it may only cover certain things. the tiger warantee covers anything. doesn't amazon give a warantee also?i also think walmart sells an extended warantee for alot less, but they don't have the same selection of products.i was looking at dvd upconverter recorders and surround sounds at walmart , the extended warantee for most of them was about $20.
