LOL funny, a buddy of mine always wanted to borrow my tools especially when I was using them on a project. ( he makes 250K yr )
One day he come over wanting to borrow something that was rather expensive and hard to find ( I forgot what it was now ) and told him NO ! He proceeded to say, If I break it or lose it Ill buy you another one.
I looked him dead in the eye and said, If you can afford it, why don't you just buy one !

*** and this stemmed from, He lost every damn 10mm wrench or socket I had , I was just done with waiting on replacements.

Don't be too hard on the guy... 10mm sockets are the first tool to just vanish into the vortex all those missing socks go to....

Oh, and that ^%@$# tape measure that was here less than five minutes ago.

Somewhere on the other side of the universe there is a pile of this stuff....

I don’t label my tool box drawers,
A: it helps my memory stay sharp
B: it’s an adventure finding things
C: it’s exercise opening and closing all those drawers
D: I can reassign a drawer and don’t have to peel the labels off.

E: Why make it easier for family and friends to get their paws on MY stuff?
F: I'm convinced MY stuff moves in the middle of the night just to mess with me, labels will not stop them.
G: I do not have to change labels when MY stuff goes AWOL.

A... I already memorized where everything is, been this way for years.. just being funny when friends come over
B...when someone else throws it where it shouldn't be ( OCD )
C...Still have to do it constantly anyways since everything isn't in one drawer. The storage totes are the issues...lol
D... That will never happen, Ill need a bigger or more tool chests by then ( sold a lot of tools years ago just before my spinal surgery, wish I kept it all now )

Putting up a chandelier up on a ladder and the wire strippers disappear from the 2nd floor, looked for hours and couldn't find... go out to garage, unlock tool check and there they are??? WTF? How did they get out there and Im on a ladder on the second floor???
