Please Help!

Does anybody know how to reset whatever the security system is on an 02 Ram 1500? My buddy parked his truck for like 5 mins last night and we he tried to start it again it was dead..Only thing that happened was a flashing red light on the dash. I was looking on google but I didn't see anything about it. I did see some info for an older dodge that said to try locking then unlocking the doors with the key..Anyone have any idea?
Thanks in advance

Did you try the Dodge Ram site, that may yield more insight.

My parent's Neon had a weird system that included a small disc (the size of a dime on a plastic fob connected to the key chain) that had to be passed by a sensor located under the dash. It is usually close at hand to the driver by the left or right knee. When you pass the "key fob" by the sensor there will be a beep letting you know that the system has been deactivated.

If this isn't the system, then good luck to you!

Have you tried disconnecting and reconnecting the battery?

Some forums (IMO, the best) have a "validity check" which greatly minimizes SPAM, after you apply. Some take a day or 2 before they allow you to sign in.
