Possible HHR SS member
I'd WANT the Challenger, I'd BUY the HHR or Cobalt, as they will spend less time in the pits (IE: Gas pumps)
If I were to get a Challenger, I'd want to put it in a time capsule for 30 years. If history is a lesson, Americans will soon be dumping SUVs and other gas guzzlers for fuel effecient cars. If Detroit is smart (this time) they will offer the better fuel economy and get some oftheir old market share back.I find it ironic , with gas hitting record highs, that I keep seeing ads for 450 HP AMG's, SRT's, new Camaros and such. I traded an 06 Impala SS for my HHR, and I don't miss the HP at all. I live in NJ, and my average weekly speed is 25 MPH weather I have a 4 cylinder or a nitro burning funny car. It was kinda fun racing for those 20 ft of empty road space!

The SS is going to give you a whole lot of bang and excitement of the buck, some great performance, lots of usable room, lower insurance rates and better gas mileage. Lots of great reasons to go for the HHR SS.
thats what ive come to the conclusion of. now its between the cobalt ss or hhr ss. ive heard too many bad things about the Caliber SRT4.
I've heard a few bad things about Chrysler products in general.
Like the transmissions lasting an average of 30k miles. That is just
(nuts) and a
(nono) in my book.
I guess a lifetime drivetrain warranty will be handy.
I'd choose the HHR SS.

I wonder if they ever fixed the sludging problem on the 2.7L Intrepid/Concorde engines. You know the one, the one that cracks the intake manifold after 60K miles but Chrysler dealerships won't warranty because it's a "driving habits condition" and makes the customer pay $4K for a new engine.

I read somewere that Chrysler was giving people the 3.5L upgrade at no additional cost because of this problem.
