I hope all is well

 

I have not heard any thing more, I hope that Theresa and Derek are getting the much needed rest.
I have left a message on her phone, and will try to get in touch with her in the morning.

 

Hi everyone,

I am so very tired, I am home for a quick shower, change, and to grab my 2 favorite down pillows that Derek wants. Silly kid thinks I care if he messes them up...... he can have ALL the down pillows I can get him if it will help. (he has always tried to get them from me.... :) )

They did more Xray's and did not find anymore broken bones. (they thought his femur was broken on the left).
They placed a pin in his left leg right above the knee and put that leg in skeletal traction to pull the femur out of his pelvis and get him ready for surgery on Sat. We are looking at about 6 to 8 hours in the OR Sat.

We thank you for ALL your prayers, please keep them coming.

Theresa, glad to hear he is doing okay, hope all goes well, I have to rest up tonight going to take my SAT tomorrow, Best of luck to the both of you!

 

Theresa, I am so glad that the ball is starting to roll, just sorry that they did not do this earlier.
I will be checking in with you on Sat to see how things are.
I hope that all are remaining Strong, it is still going to be rough for a while.
I'll touch bases on Sat.

Glad to hear that they didn't find any more damage. Amy sends her best wishes as well. She knows all to well the place you're in right now, and thinks you should bring yourself some of those pillows.

I talked to Theresa at 2:17 Pm today.
Derek left the room at 12:30 PM today for what we hope will be surgery.
Derek had to sign 2 different Consents today. While on Narcotics.
The communications with the Doctor have stopped.
Possible more surgery on Sunday, 2 days, 2 weeks unknown.
Complete surgery that had been discused earlier this week have changed,
reason not really known.
Tensions are very high at present.
More as soon as I know.

Just talked to Theresa: Today is a better day so far.
On 1/27/07, Derek left the room at 12:30P, stayed in Pre induction for about 2 hours, Had surgery for another 3 hours, then to recovery.
Yesterday they operated on his left leg , on the backside.
Today, he is on the books for another surgery for the front of the left leg.
The Doctors are talking today.
Last night Theresa stayed, they will try to get him a private room, so she can stay, for sure.
More Surgery for the right leg maybe, later in the week.
Theresa sounds less stressed today.
More to follow as I find out.
