Prostate Seed Implantation for Cancer

I had radiation seed implant surgery Thursday for prostate cancer and this is the first day I could sit up to type. For information only, I had 78 seeds implanted then in three weeks after the swelling goes down I will begin radiation treatment for two months, five days a week. I have a pretty good chance of healing especially since I am a man of prayer and faith.

If you believe in prayer and the Almighty, will you say a prayer for me and my wife who has had to go through this with me. Every man that is 4o and over should have the psa test done by a Urolagist and be tested. Did you know that 50% of all American males who die this year will die because of prostate cancer?

I am still in pain, but I have hope, faith and strong belief in God and my Doctors for healing.

Im not one for realigous believes, very long story, but I do hope that you do make it through this. Dont stop fighting, with the advances that have been made in medicine you should make it. Rough roads might lay ahead, but your wife and the Almighty will help you through this.

I hope you have a quick recovery. My mother in law is battling cancer, right now it is in remission. Also one of the girls I was involved with in my early 20s had had cancer so I'm no stranger to both cancer and the effects of treatment. Believe me I will get checked when I become of age, one of my best friends from my teenage years father had prostate cancer and he made sure to give us tons of warnings.

One of my best friends had seed implants for prostate cancer and while he didn't enjoy the process, his cancer is now in complete remission and his PSA levels are very low. This has been several years now, so hopefully you will have the same results!

Prayer Works

I am a believer and a Pastor. Not perfect but I'm on a journey of faith.
You will be in my thoughts and prayers.
It is wonderful to see a forum like this "HHR's" that can take a moment to be real, honest and encouraging to friends we've never met.
Blessings to you all.
