Very sad news to post, Eddie lost his long battle with cancer today, he will be sadly missed!

RIP

I read today his band mate said Eddie was a smoker, but believed he got sick from putting metal guitar picks in his teeth to hold them..

Whatever the reason he was too young.

The old mans are leaving ...

Now Van Halen, tomorrow will be the next. It is a pity that this circle cannot be stopped.
The artist was great.
Tapping ... Eddie Van Halen popularized this technique on six-string guitar with the song "Eruption" from the Van Halen album. So Wikipedia writes.

Van Halen is a world-class phenomenon. Mentioned back in Soviet films at a time when Western rock was not welcomed (to put it mildly). The tracks were used in the dubbing of Soviet and Russian television programs. Naturally, the people also loved him and continue to love him.
Russian television today reported this news at the federal level, we are very sorry here.

Great guitarist.
He was one whom you could tell who it was just by listening to his riffs.
