Chorus from "Have you forgotten" by Darryl Worley

Have you forgotten, how it felt that day?
To see your homeland under fire
And her people blown away
Have you forgotten, when those towers fell
We had neighbors still inside goin through a livin hell
And you say we shouldn't worry bout Bin Laden
Have you forgotten?

There are very few things that have happened during my lifetime that bring a tear to my eye when I think about them-this is one of them. I am doing a memorial motorcycle ride down to ground zero today. I did this a few years ago and its quite an event, hundreds of bikes raising money for some local families that could use some help.

Peace

This is a day that I will never got get, I still pray for all that we lost. I still remember were I was and what I was doing when the 1st tower was Struck. Now as a Law Enforcement Officer and retired Military all I can say is God Bless us all and watch over all who we have lost. I know My family and I and Friends really enjoy our freedom.

At the time I lived on Cape Cod and was out sick from work that day...I was returning from the doctors office and was wondering why F15's from Otis were taking off full burners, locked and loaded to the gills. I knew their takeoff schedule like the back of my hand and that early on a weekday was not part of that schedule...not to mention full burners due to residents concerns over noise was pretty much a no no

That was my first indication that something was different that day watching those birds screaming full tilt to the south..it was deafening

I was actually on Flight 11 six months earlier out of Boston heading to LA and then on to Hawaii...that still gives me chills

Worely said it well but so did Toby Keith

"Now this nation that I love
Has fallen under attack
A mighty sucker punch came flyin' in
From somewhere in the back
Soon as we could see clearly
Through our big black eye
Man, we lit up your world
Like the 4th of July "

God Bless America

Today no one is blue or red, we are all Americans.

I fly the flag proudly in front of my house every day.
