Road Trip

Tuesday night I started out on a 1300 mile road trip. The GPS on myphone said it would take 19 hours. Well, I completed my trek in 20 included 2 hours of sleep in Indiana. I was impressed with my HHR, I had no problems what so ever and it only took 3 tanks of gas. Luckily there weren't any issues along the road. My closest call was a deer carcass in the middle of my lane but, since it's lowered and I have the rear sway bar, I was able to pull off a REALLY quick lane change at 75 mph without a loss of control or even a squeal from the tires.

Trip stats:
total milage: 1301 miles
drive time: 20 hours
MPG (est.): 28.8
number of states crossed: 9

Nice. I'm going to be pulling off a road trip in August that's about 4800km each way. I'm glad that the HHRs seem to do so well long distance.

For you Americans, that's about 2980 miles each way.
