According to CBSNews, Iraqi officials plan on taping Saddam Hussein's execution as verification of his death and there is talks that it might happen before the New Year.

 

Cant wait to see it !!

 

I'll believe it when I see it, or at least when all of the respectable news networks have confirmed it. Regardless of what nation you're in, the legal system always seems to take FOREVER or be full of loopholes. For example, just this morning on NPR, they were discussing who even had custody of Saddam. The U.S. military said they had transferred custody to Iraq's government; Iraq's government said they had no idea what the military was talking about. IMHO, I think Saddam will be around for quite a while. But, if they do end up executing him sometime soon, it wouldn't bug anyone a bit!

 

I wish it was going to be Osama Bin Laden instead!!

 

The guy is a menace to society and will get what is coming to him. Hopefully, sooner than later. I'm with Alzonie...too bad it's not Osama Bin Laden.

are you kidding me? osama? the USA needs hiim to stay alive forever to continue the so called "war on terror"..even tho he has been dead for quite sometime ...

 

I believe Saturday is a Holy Day for one sect of Moslem and Sunday is another Holy Day for a different sect. Under Islamic Law executions cannot be carried out on Holy Days. I believe I heard 4PM New York time was the deadline (no pun intended) for execution this weekend. Again, we'll see !!!
