Because those are the models that GM said they would continue to make on a contract basis.

Saturn is sold

Read this on another website related to nascar

"General Motors Corp. has struck a tentative deal to sell its Saturn brand to former race car driver and auto dealer Roger Penske. Penske, who owns the Penske Automotive Group dealership chain, told reporters on Friday that he plans to offer all 350 Saturn dealerships new franchise agreements. He says Saturn's 13,000 employees will stay on with the company for at least the immediate future. He declined to name the price for the deal. Penske says GM will continue to produce Saturn vehicles, though he is in discussions with manufacturers worldwide about building the vehicles going forward.(AP/ESPN)(6-5-2009)"

Sky is dead along with Solstice. Wilmington is shutting down. If you want a real collector's item, snap up a Solstice Coupe. Only 1,100 are being built.

penske buying saturn is the best thing to ever happen to saturn. he's going to do something with saturn that gm never did, make a profit. but my personal opinion is that saturns are horrible my mom owns a 2006 VUE and its the biggest piece of crap ever. it has broke down several times, yet the mechanic at the saturn dealership says its nothing

Street rumors are the Captain is working with Renault to take over manufacturing in the Saturn plant if RP can bring the deal about. It gives Roger 350 dealerships where he can distribute Saturns for a few years and there is little doubt that Smart Cars will be sold there as well.

Why would Smart Cars be sold there?? Smart Cars are MB and sold at their own dealerships.
