Lightbulb Senses Question

Think long and hard about this question before you answer. If you had to choose 1 of the 5 senses (Sight, Hearing, Taste, Smell, or Touch) to lose for the rest of your life which would it be and why?

If I had to make this choice I guess it would be Smell though I would miss it very much. My mom is deaf/mute so I truely value Hearing. Sight, well that's a no brainer for me. Touch is very important too. Couldn't imagine not being able to feel an embrace or a kiss or . I love food too much to give up Taste.

I would give up taste. Then I really could eat anything, no matter how bad it might taste.

The problem with giving up smell is a great deal of taste is affected by smell.

I just have to say I hope I never have to make the choice. Interesting question, just very difficult to answer.

I would say smell but, I use smell at times to asses things at work.
So it would have to be taste. Might like oysters then don't know.

Let's see.........I damaged my sense of smell at a Haz-Mat incident years ago. I pretty much finished it off after having sinus surgery last year. There are things I truly miss.......freshly popped popcorn, the ocean, lots of other things. What I don't miss.....the smell of my dogs after they eat badly!

Actually Hillsdale, I've given up 4 out of the 5, already.

Sight......wear prescription glasses for reading and distance....everything is a blur without them.

Hearing..... have hearings aids, that I forget to wear most of the time.

Taste......my wife says I have very poor taste

Smell.....comes and goes about once a week. Seems to be related to having a fine cigar.

Touch.....still got the touch (well, for a lot of things).

Seriously, probably taste. But need to ask a clarifying question. Are you referring to total loss, like nerve dead, i.e., hot vs cold? Or just flavor?

Good question. When you think taste you don't necessarily think hot/cold as I would consider these a touch/feel sense. So I guess just flavor.

i would give up smell hands down. I can really only smell about 1 day a month on average any ways. Plus i think your other senses are supposed to get better so that would be awsome.
