Sept 11

I think that now is a good time to post this. With Sindy getting news her son is being sent overseas and comming up on this date in history, I think it is time everyone takes a moment to remember those who serve this country and those who lost their lives on the day known simply as 9-11. Not that we should ever forget those who have served but now we should also remember those who lost their lives to cowards who attack civilians, police and fire on that fateful day. There are those who may remember pearl harbor and feel that is the worst day on American history, but to those of us who do not know what it was ling on that day, this is our Pearl Harbor. I do not have any kids that serve this country (as they are not old enough), so I can not say what Sindy or anyone else who has someone they know serving right now must go thru. But as a veteran myself I know how they feel, and one thing, I know they love to see the support this group has showmen towards Sindy in this tough time for her and her family.
So to all those who have someone that is serving I tip my hat to you and to those that are still serving I give you a double tip of the hat

We should never forget those who serve have served and been lost as innocent bystanders

I second that. Well said
We must move forward, but never forget.
The sad truth seems to be we will never really know exactly everthing that went on that day, but it is a day that has changed the world.

I totally agree with what has been said. Although we have moved forward with our lives, September 11, 2001 will be forever etched in our minds. As we sat glued to our televisions, the shock of what we were seeing was something most of us thought was unfathomable. I am thankful to young men like Sindy's son Kiddo, who stand tall and march forward to defend our freedom. To all the men and women of our armed forces...thank you for your dedication to the United States of America.

Please feel free to snag the tab below that I made in memory of those we lost 5 years ago on September 11th.

Remember to fly the flag on September 11th. It doesn't matter if it's big or small, it matters that everyone shows their spirit and support!

Bravo and well said. I came across this pic..and it is IMHO...a moving tribute to the people who lost their lives as well as those that survived. Im not sure how to best explain, or even why this pic does, move me so much. As a 34 year old father of three I will proudly, to this day still, tear up at the mere thought of the events that transpired that day. I am a proud to say I am an American!!

Has anyone seen United 93 yet? I just rented it; think it's a great movie. Not for the entertainment value, but because it is real.

Haven't seen it yet Bryce...but from what I understand it's a very riveting show. Will have to rent it myself or get it on DVD if it's available.

I saw it last night and it was very moving. I think they were soft on the terrorist and extrem hadtred for Americans. Other than that, It's agreat reminder of how quick things can turn bad and America should never let their guard down again.
