Unhappy Spring Break Horror Stories

I know we've all had them. Those spring breaks that have gone bad. Here's ours:
My wife and I were in Dallas celebrating our 25th anniversary early. Mid way thru our mini vacation we get a call from our son back home. He told us he was "ok" but his truck was totaled. Talk about felling helpless. We were 8 hours away. Fortunatly we had family back home to help him get along. He was T-Boned by a semi and only walked away with minor scratches.

Wow, your son is a lucky guy to walk away from that.

I recall when my brother was driving my dad's old Jag and got T-boned by a minivan. I had to go out and deal with it (was visiting my folks) because my parents were too far away. That was a hell of a wreck, too.

At least you got some. All I ever got was a hangover and a mad case of blue balls.

After whizzing needles for a week, I would rather have had the blue balls instead.

That's a bad-looking wreck... I guess it's totaled, huh? Glad your son is okay.

Yes it was totaled. State Farm was great on settlement too. Had a different truck for him 5 days later. The one that was wrecked was a "Tremor" edition. 6000 made in 2002. It had a factory installed Pioneer sound system. After settling on the total price, they let us take out the sound system. It was a $900 option in 2002.
