Thank you to our troops

Have you ever seen one of our military walking past you and wanted to convey to them your thanks, but weren't sure how or it felt awkward?

Recently, a gentleman from Seattle created a gesture which could be used and has started a massive movement to get the word out.

You got my attention. And I'm passing it on.

Just a comment....and I'm not blowing my own horn...IT"S MY BELIEF.

I was at the local airport picking up a relative. Unknown to me a local guard unit was returning the same day. While hugging the relative on her arrival, I noticed over her shoulder, a group of 6-7 military personal with duffles. I stopped and looked and then REMEMBERING THE BUDWEISER COMMERCIAL, I started clappin and yelled "Liberators on Deck". I soon had about a hundred people clapping ( must admit there were a couple with distaste on their faces).. The guys, gals and their families obviously appreciated the attention, by the smiles on their faces.

I do "STUPID" things like this, on occassion.

I shake their hand (when I'm able to) as I say thank you. I also make a point of telling them I appreciate what they and their family has done so we can enjoy our freedoms.

Hey Tom, let me know when you are flying, I wouldn't mind 1st Class as opposed to the back of the plane as the Govt likes to put us.

I wanna thank you guys for all the support. When I came home from Iraq on R&R in Feb, I was treated like a rock star. I was applauded, my hand was shook, my back was patted...The best, I guess, was the free drinks and the pretty girl's phone number...LOL

Anyway, we do appreciate it. Thanks again.

I want to second what nextep said... we're just as grateful for your support as you are of our service.
