Time capsule 1957 Plymouth Belvedere being unearthed
That's why they don't have basements in Oklahoma. Nobody knows how a sump pump works.
I'm betting on a rust bucket full of sediment and other nasties with anything vinyl or rubber completely disintegrated.

What was the outcome of the car? The last I heard they had opened the vault and saw that it had lots of water in it. They were still pumping out the water and hadn't tried to actually get to the car yet.
I saw the write-up on this a couple weeks ago, who would`ve buried a car in a vault, unsealed, to start with?
A brighter idea would`ve been simply a concrete box above ground, but I`m guessing the people felt it had to be buried or it wasn`t a TIME CAPSULE.

Here's more pictures of the 1957 Plymouth after they dug it up and moved it:

It will be amazing if the water didn't find it's way thru the plastic wrapping after all these years!
