1. A Kentucky Wildcat basketball jersey to remind everyone that UK was just as great in history as they are currently!!!

2. A Brett Favre Jersey to remind them who the toughest QB to ever play in the NFL was!!!

1. All the sales literature from the HHR, I know that I would like to open a time capsule with perfect paperwork for a car a hundred years ago...
2. A photo album full of the finest vehicles avaliable today, restorations, customs, everything...plus photos, not a disc, that alone might make it interesting...

Ya beat me to the Lovecraft!

1) I'd put in the complete works of Carl Barks, Disney artist and story teller extraordinaire!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carl_Barks

He created great stuff for families of all ages. He live to be 99.5 and pulled his own plug by saying no more to Chemo when it compromised his life too much. I met him twice once when he was old, age 78 and then again when he was OLD, age 94. He still makes millions smile!

2). I'm with CJ Krause on this one. So sorry to hear about your son Cj. My heart hurts just thinking about it.
I would leave a detailed book with photos and writings on our family tree. Even though we are all simply footnotes for the next generation, we have much to learn and be grateful for from the past.

I'm going through 150 years worth of dougaratypes, tin types, negative and prints. Here is our family business around 1932:

Here is our home in the 1860's in Port Lorne Nova Scotia:

My Nana's piano/hearth in the 1980's:

You get the idea. Document it now before the memories fade and the stuff goes to the landfill. I really am going to put this stuff in a secured capsule!

I would put a leather fire helmet in. A lot of guys I know right now have only seen them in movies. I got to wear one my entire career. Tradition at it's best!

My saxophone and a clipping of the top 5 list career Home Runs with Barry Bonds marked out with permanent marker. Sorry Barry, but your name will never be deserved to be spoken under the same breath as Babe Ruth and Hank Aaron.

1)Digital recording of 24 hours of Cable News, and 1 week of Network TV to show what people were entertained by and how the news was being reported live rather than historical re-engineered news that often is preserved

2) the first year of logs from this site to show people in the future what devotion to a first year car we have.

At work, we made up a time capsule in the form of a steel box and put it inside the large brick main column support for the entrance of our showroom. We added various denominations of currency (coins and small bills), some of our catalogs, a list of all of our employees and a list of all of the contractors who worked on our building. We wrapped it in plastic and sealed it with duct tape. Some day, someone will be quite surprised to find this.
