Time to let go

Time to let go
Well, it's been a fun ride, both in the HHR and on this forum. I wish I didn't have to let Dory go, but, circumstances dictate otherwise.
We did a double trade, my HHR and Amy's '97 Infiniti QX4. Amy feels just as bad having to let go of her ride........ the QX4 has been in our family service since day 1 off the lot. We had taken the QX for routine service, as well as to have some issues checked out. Found out it was going to cost over $3500.00 to get the rear end and steering brought back up to par, so we thought that the money would be better served as a down on a new truck.
Family circumstances required us to have a rather large vehicle that would seat at least 6, or seat only 4 w/ plenty of cargo room. With the original QX holding up well for 14+ years, Amy wanted to get another Infiniti. Yes, it may be a Japanese brand, but it was built here in the states. We are now the proud new owners of a new 2010 QX56 and got one hell of a steal on it too!! Having to use a dealer 100+ miles away, it was a very nice ride home, not overly truckish, like the QX4 had always been.
I'm going to find it hard to leave the forum here, as it's been my 2nd home for nearly 5 years. I'll definitely be hanging around here for some time as I've taken all the aftermarket appearance mods off........ look for them going up in the classifieds. The only mod that I haven't been able to remove are the springs. I don't have the tools or space to do it myself, and taking it to some corner garage will probably cost me just as much as I could sell them for. If anyone local would like to have them and have the capabilities to change them out for the original stockers, which I still have btw, I'm sure something could be worked out as long as it's done real soon.
Will be opening the sale of items in a few days.

Jay-
Sorry to hear you had to let Dory go... but sounds like it was the best thing to do for the situation..
Hope you stop in from time to time. I know you"ll be missed around here.
Enjoy the new ride

You will be missed from the site. Hope all works out-everyone's situations are constantly changing-as all ours will one day. Take it as it comes and enjoy.
Never met you but felt like I did through your many posts and archived searches i have done. Why don't you at least stay around till your 20,000th post?
