My thought is, 10 minutes is enough to screw anything up. A prime example, I try to fix the vaccum cleaner. 10 minutes later the wife and I are on our way to buy a new vaccum, the old one on the side of the highway.

Now that is funny! I do the same things. I'm gettin' good at chucking things out though since I have thirty years of accumulated stuff I keep thinking I want to fix!

Getting back to the 2 original questions on this thread......

NO...AND.... They manage because of the money envolved and the underling "donut getters".

Anyone already in office should be able to run for reelection. But, they wouldn't have to start so early if the others don't. When we're relying on our elected officials to write laws and instead they're collecting checks, there's a problem. You all know that the government (that's really you, the taxpayer) matches any funds a candidate accumulates. So, the longer they campaign the more we will pay for their globe trotting. In the meantime, anyone who works for the federal government knows that we still don't have a completed 2007 budget. If so much money continues to go to Iraq, I may not be employed by August! But, I guarantee you those senators running for president will. After all, they're considered "MISSION ESSENTIAL!"

I really don't care how long they campaign or what they say. They are all polititians and they will say whatever they think will get them elected(or what their advisors tell them to say). After they get into office, the power they craved is theirs and then to heck with their constituants. Most are less trustworthy and ethical than a used car salesman.A very shady used car salesman.
