Traded the HHR.......

For an 08 Malibu LTZ and Oh man what a car. We looked at the 3.6 v6 with a 6 speed auto and were absolutely sold during the test drive. This car for 28k offers WAY more features then even my parents 32k Chrysler 300(3.5). It's also faster and I'd argue more comfortable. The icing on the cake is my wife is getting 24.7 mpg on 87 octane as compared to 26.0 on 93 octane in the HHR. Chevy hit a home run on this one no doubt.

Congratulations. That Malibu is one well done car. It beat the Honda Accord in the Motor Trend COTY, though the CTS won the COTY. Lets hope that it does a lot for sales.

yeap.... somethings wrong... but no one seems to know why... on the gas thing....... but the malibu is made here in kansas city.... my brother in law works there...... nice rides. what an improvement from the 07, the only thing is that arm rest thing on the drivers side next to the drivers seat.... being a bigger guy i catch my back and pants on the edge of that.... but love the car other wise.

I'm really like the new Malibu as well. It may be an option in the future.

26 is about right in mixed driving and we'd get 30-31 on the highway. I figure it has alot to do with the 6spd in the malibu but I could be wrong.

I've been looking at the Malibu Hybrid since it also has the Ecotec engine. But, even though Chevy offers great colors in other models, the Malibu Hybrid has some very bland choices. What were they thinking? Do only boring people buy hybrids? Not necessarily! Why would Toyota offer the Prius in bright red and lime green?
