Clou - declassified and first introduced the newest missile-gun tank T 90-S.

The exhibition featured two samples. Appearance of one tank which resembles the "Abrams". I guess to make it easier to sell in countries that have traditionally attracted to western products.

Indeed. Foreign experts are clustered around the tank like flies.

I understand them. I myself would not have left until you looked at every rivet.

Some features:

T-90S has a traditional Russian tanks lightweight, small size, powerful weaponry and high mobility.

The combat weight of the tank - 46.5 tonns.

Crew - 3 people.

The main armament of the T-90S - smoothbore gun, 125 mm high accuracy with built-in adjustment and quick release barrel. It is stabilized in two planes, charging automatic movement, in the packing of which there are 22 rounds of the first stage. high rate (up to 7-8 rounds per minute), which distinguishes the T-90S tanks from most foreign.

Features a tank gun against the armored ground and low-flying air targets expanded through the use of complex weapon systems: guided by a laser beam is fed in a cumulative rocket bore autoloader and fired from the gun barrel.

In the tank ammunition are: armor-piercing, cumulative and high-explosive rounds with separate-case loading, as well as shot with a guided missile.

As a subsidiary of weapons used coaxial machine gun 7.62 mm machine-gun and anti-aircraft unit 12.7mm closed type.

The tank is traditionally installed a diesel engine, the main advantages of which, in comparison with the gas turbine engine particularly in hot climates and sandy soils are:

- A slight drop in power at high ambient temperatures;

- The possibility of a high degree of air purification and as a result, high reliability in dusty;

- In 1.8-2 times less fuel consumption.

Cost-effective propulsion system of the T-90C provides the operating speed of 60 km / h and autonomous march at a distance of up to 550 miles without refueling.

Motor power - 1000 hp Buggatti among tanks.

Despite the installation of components and systems that enhance combat and operational performance of the T-90S, its dimensions have remained roughly the same as that of the T-72C. Only 2 tonns increased, but remained at 8,1-8,7 tons less than the "Leclerc" and "Leopard 2", to 10.7 tons - than the M1A1 "Abrams" and 16 tons - than in "Challenger".

- A set of guided weapons with laser-beam control channel. It allows you to fire a guided missile through the gun barrel up and to move on fixed and moving targets at ranges from 100 to 5,000 meters, to destroy all the most modern tank long before that approach to the effective shooting distance of its weapons;

- Opto-electronic complex suppression. The complex protects the tank from the defeat antitank missiles with semi-automatic guidance systems;

- An automatic panoramic view, locate and protect the tank against antitank projectiles with laser-homing. The system provides automatic control of interference complexes with anti-tank laser range finders and target designators;

- A closed anti-aircraft guns, which allows the commander to deliver fire with remote control actuators on aircraft, and in a stable mode - at ground targets, while remaining under the protection of armor;

- Built-in dynamic protection, effective against armor-piercing and hollow shells. The combination of built-in armor and multi-layered armor tank provides additional opportunities to survive in extreme combat conditions;

This tank is called "long-armed." Calmly shoot enemy tanks at long range, they do not have time to go far enough to fire back.
And this tank is called "flying." I must say, all the Russian tanks are able to jump, but the T 90-C can effectively shoot in the fly.

Vova Putin visited the exhibition on Saturday. Of course, could not resist and reached into the tank, too. was happy.

Some more interesting and funny moments.

The exhibition was participated aerobatic teams. In Russia, there are several. and all very good.

Aviation has been given much attention. All times are shuttled helicopters. Fighters and light bombers took off and fell.
Were aviation exhibits. For example an unmanned aircraft.

Scout, spy and saboteur

There were also present: some robotics, some the fire control system, a lot of electronics.
This military laptop. Operating in a dust storm, even under water.

Russian production. This is good. I must admit, the guns in Russia have always been able to do, but the electronics - a weak spot. Now the situation has changed. In America there is something similar?

The whole mass of iron is not just standing on the stage. Combat vehicles went and shot. Each exhibit has demonstrated its capabilities. Gears run on rough terrain, climbing up steep slopes, to overcome the ford. Two - three shots on target from the head of the caliber (no misses). It was fun.

killed the target in both cases. Tanker - the virtuoso.

I really like that little Lynx vehicle. Even looks like it could be modified for personal (non-military) use.

As to the Hummer issue, I'm certainly no military expert, but from what I've read, there has been a big push in U.S. military vehicle design for 'bomb safe' vehicles - particularly because of all the roadside bombs being detonated in Iraq and elsewhere. I believe they found that the 'flat bottom' design of the Hummer et al was not particularly effective in preventing intrusion into the vehicle interior. The new design has a big 'V' shaped area underneath that directs the blast forces outwards.

That's right.
I had a chance to carefully consider HAMMER 1. One guy uses it. There really is "V"-shaped bottom. I do not know whether this is the bottom of the "Lynx", but the tanks are doing it. HAMMER perfectly proved in the war, for he is worthy of respect. Life goes on, new developments.
One could say - the military machine is not suited for civilian life. How AK-47 is not suited for duck hunting.
